Weekend with not too much on so I booked us a one night stay in Brighton. I got the idea talking to Drew in the pub on Wednesday and he mentioned this hotel in Devon but it was fully booked, I searched on Mr and Mrs Smith for beach hotels and found No 124 Kings Road. It was perfect.
We had the best room in the hotel, top floor, big windows and sea view.

After checking in I had a little nap and then we had a lovely bottle of Champagne

As we were only in town for one day, we kept the agenda short – nice dinner, tourist thing, swim in the sea. We booked into the hotel for dinner and shared a Porterhouse steak and a lovely bottle of rose.

For the tourist thing, we booked to go up the Brighton i360 Europes tallest moving viewing platform (apparently). We got tickets for the last assent of the day so we could see the sun setting.

After riding up to 162m above Brighton we went to grab the drone from the hotel room, went and sat on the beach and took some more photos of the sunset.

Back in the room we switched wine glasses and opened the rose while we read our books for a bit.
Sunday morning I dragged myself out for a run up the coast and sweated out most of the hang over. Juli then joined me and we went for a swim in the sea – it was 12degrees but wasn’t too bad once you were in.

We went back to the hotel for breakfast and sat out the front of the hotel and drank coffee in the sun until we needed to go and get ready to check out.

We left the hotel and returned to the car park having been there for 22hrs! #travelman
All in all fabulous day in Brighton, would go again and highly recommend the hotel.
