Second week of the Easter school holiday we went to Cyprus for Gina and Lucy’s wedding and also to have a bit of sunshine and time with the Keaneys, Edgars and mum and Dave.
Weather was reported to be chilly so we packed jumpers and coats but we only needed them once the sun went down in the evenings.
Due to a calculation error, I had to work on the Monday, the first day there but it wasn’t too bad as the room had a nice desk and wifi was good. After work, I got a lift into Paphos and picked up a road bike for a ride on Tuesday.
After a late breakfast (everyone adjusting to the timezone, lack of sleep from school ski trip) I set off on my ride, two hours or so to Polis, then another two hours back over the hill to the bike shop. Was really hard given how little training I’d done, but was really enjoyable. Should have applied sun cream to my arms, but after a few days of after sun application they recovered.
After I got back from the cycle, I had a quick shower then we went out for a pre-wedding meet up with the family.
Wednesday was Wedding day, but still managed a nice chill start, quick swim at the beach then back to get changed and boarded the party bus to the venue. Wedding was great and a lovely place to get married. I took a load of photos on the SLR camera and also put the drone up briefly for some great scenic shots.

Thursday we planned a really chilled day, went to the beach in the morning, lunch and then we had dinner out with the Keaneys at the Pizza restaurant.
Friday the Edgars and Downings returned home and us and the Keaneys went out to discover some old stuff in Paphos. First we went to the Archilogical Park where there were some super impressive mosaiacs and discovered it was World Monument Day so we got in for free! After the mosaiacs we went to the Tombs of the Kings which famously doesn’t have any kings bured there, not even One King.
We got back to the hotel for lunch then headed down to the beach for the afternoon followed by the water park.
Saturday was our last day, we requested late checkout but our room (which we think had been upgraded to a suite) was booked. We packed our bags and loaded them into the car. We stayed for one last buffet lunch then headed to the airport.
