Everyone had such a nice time last year that we decided to go again to CarFest once more. We bought ‘big early’ tickets which meant we had access to the site from Thursday afternoon which we took full advantage of. The first night had a silent disco which we missed out on last year so we got there early and were some of the first to be dancing to three different songs at the same time.
Friday was the first day of the festival proper and we setup our chair area and went off to watch some of the cars on track. Razorlight were good but as kids got tired towards the end we left at a sensible time and were back at the caravan for 11.
Saturday we set out a bit earlier because Lottie wanted to get a pitch a bit bigger than the day before. We watched lots of car sessions and once again the drift stars were our favourites… although we all agreed we should buy a Lamborghini. Music acts again peaked before the end, Rick Parfett Jnr was amazing and Rick Astley was better than you’d think.
Sunday we had a slow start and got to the site the same time as the Colemans, we mooched around then headed to the track to watch some crazy drivers then we went to the Barfest Arms to listen to some local bands and help the kids raise money by drinking lots of beer. We called past the Yeti stand and the Gozney stand and looked at the essential things they had. On the main stage the Horne Section were incredible as usual and so were the super group. Village people were very late and very average performance and closing the festival was Texas which was phenomenal, such a great singer.

Monday we packed up and managed to leave the site for about 10am.
